The Conduct and Enforcement team is at the core of Ofgem’s regulatory duty to ensure industry compliance and good outcomes for consumers. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a leading role on investigations, work collaboratively with colleagues around the organisation and contribute to overall Ofgem policy on competition law. Your work will cover the Competition Act 1998, as well as sectorial and consumer protection cases, calling for the analytical skills to engage with a wide range of complex evidence and data: economic, financial and fact/case-specific materials.

The key to your success in this role is your ability to understand, analyse and explain. With experience of delivering work relating to competition law, competition economics and/or Competition Act 1998 investigations, you will be able to identify salient points, make recommendations for next steps and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels. Outstanding interpersonal skills are essential. Up-to-date knowledge of CA98 investigative practice and procedure is highly desirable.
