Job Details

My Client is a global blue chip insurance corporation with operations stretched across the globe. We are seeking to appoint a Compliance Officer who will report into the Head of Compliance in order to assist in the delivery of the annual compliance plan.

The successful candidates will have primary responsibility for providing the business with advice and monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements. They will also lead or support regulatory projects as they arise.

You will advise the management teams on key regulatory risks and on issues arising from forthcoming changes to regulations and/or significant business changes (including product developments, reorganisations, distribution support programmes).

Working with the management you will formulate joint plans for reviewing processes and practices such that any risk is minimised, and transition to new requirements is speedy and effective.

You will be responsible for conducting compliance reviews of business processes and activity and to assist the Compliance Department with their reviews, such that these generate effective action plans addressing the underlying causes of any problems identified.

You will also conduct desk based monitoring checks across the business and will liaise with the internal audit and risk teams as you test controls and manage the reports accordingly.

Strong report writing skills will be essential for this role as you make sense of the data gathered and interpret it in order to add value to the business.

This is an organisation that has always had a highly respected risk, compliance and audit function and so have a good framework embedded through the business. We are seeking a highly professional individual to further cement this relationship and so the successful candidate must have previous compliance experience and be confident when building relationships with stakeholders.

Previous insurance or broking experience is highly desirable.

There is minimal travel with this role and the client offers a very good work life balance with typical office hours being 9-5.30pm.
