The SRA's IT Team is looking for an ICT Security and Audit Officer to provide security guidance and subject matter expertise to the organisation.

The role

As the SRA's ICT Security and Audit Officer your main responsibilities will be maintaining the SRA's technical security processes and improving them where possible. You will work closely with our design team and help to defend the SRA from cyber-attacks and from any unwanted intruders. As threats become more common - whether it's malware, phishing, or eavesdropping - continuous improvement is vital to keep our information safe. You will monitor the methods that cyber criminals are using to damage organisations and use your expertise to protect us from harm.

You will be required to:

  • Provide leadership and direction for security activities carried out by the SRA
  • Maintain and develop our technical security policies
  • Respond to ICT security incidents and manage their outcome
  • Educate the SRA and improve general understanding of security across teams and the organisation.
