Ethical Compliance Coordinator

Our Client is a highly successful supplier of Fresh Produce to the retail sector, and as their partnership with their customers continues to grow, they offer the exciting opportunity of Ethical Compliance Coordinator / Assistant to join their energetic and passionate technical team based in Kent.

The position of Ethical Compliance Coordinator / Assistant will report to Senior Management, and will assist to ensure all fresh produce suppliers / growers have the correct ethical third-party audits in line with customer standards and approved auditing bodies.

Duties for the Ethical Compliance Coordinator will include:

  • Working with the Compliance Auditing team to gather data and complete accommodation risk assessments, in line with customer Human Rights Policies
  • Review Fresh Produce suppliers / growers for ethical third-party audits compliance, to meet customer requirements; SMETA, SIZA, etc.
  • Attend relevant customer ethical conferences / seminars and update the team accordingly
  • Champion SEDEX, working to ensure all supplier sites are compliant
  • Support the inhouse compliance team administratively as required
  • Collate ethical data as required

We require for the Ethical Compliance Coordinator role:

  • Fresh Produce / Food industry exposure, with Ethical / Supplier Compliance knowledge being highly beneficial
  • Pesticides knowledge/experience advantageous; trials, research, spray trials / application, crop management, breeding
  • Commercial approach, with the ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and customers
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work to a high level administratively
  • A Graduate with a relevant Degree would be considered
