My client are a global insurance broker with operations based across the UK. Jefferson Tiley are assisting with the critical hire of a Compliance Advisory Analyst.

Reporting into the Compliance Advisory Manager, your main purpose will be to build strong relationships with the business and internal stakeholders in order to deal with queries and offer compliance advice across a wide range of business areas and topics.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Organising and maintaining compliance records and assisting the business to ensure that marketing information sent to customers is compliant.

Reviewing and maintaining policies and procedures and recommending changes thereto.

Working with global compliance partners to support wider compliance initiatives and objectives.

Remain conversant with the relevant compliance framework, manuals, policies and procedures, risk management framework and how to manage compliance risk

Assist with the coordination, promotions and development of education and/or training programmes on relevant compliance related topics across the business and contribute to their delivery.

Attend relevant training/seminars to maintain knowledge and expertise on relevant issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious compliance or risk management professional. The team is expanding and you will work directly alongside the manager assisting and deputising as you gain in experience.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this role and experience of relationship management (ideally specific relationships) will be visible on your CV.

It is likely that this person will have had some exposure and understanding of how the FCA regulatory environment works.

Insurance experience is considered highly advantageous and previous financial services experience is essential.

The role is officially based from my client's Ipswich offices, but the future working plan is for this person to be in the office 1-2 days a week and work from home on the other days.

Applicants might be from an audit, risk or compliance background as long as they are ambitious and keen to learn.
