I am working with an established, and growing, UK-based Insurance company to offer a permanent contract, seeking a compliance monitoring manager that will sit within the Legal Team, supporting the success of the company by ensuring, internally and externally, all relevant laws and regulations are adhered to.

The Role

My client is looking for an Compliance Monitoring Manager for a permanent contract, based in central London with a hybrid working environment, for a role to start ideally by the end of the year (but will wait for the ideal candidate) - to support the team and department in company and supplier compliance to relevant regulations.

The Team

You will work within a small team, reporting to and assisting directly, the Head of Compliance Monitoring. The company puts a focus on personal progress and development, as such, they are seeking an individual who strives for personal success. While there are no current direct reports, the team aims to grow in the future with compliance monitors reporting to yourself.

The Duties

The duties of this compliance monitoring manager role may include:

  • Conducting reviews of business and relevant 3rd party providers in accordance with the compliance monitoring programme.
  • Ensure the proper retention of evidence relating to the above to assist in the identification of shortfalls and the effective remedial action.
  • Assisting the Head of Compliance Monitoring and General Counsel on any compliance matters as required.
  • Contributions to regular reports for EXCO and Audit Committee
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Company Breach Register
  • And other Ad-hoc duties

The Ideal Candidate

You would be an ideal candidate for this role if:

  • You have 5 years compliance experience, ideally monitoring experience within financial services.
  • You have knowledge of the Bulk Annuity Market
  • A history or an ability of communicating with all levels of a business
  • Bonus: CII, CISI, or a specific compliance related qualification
