We are seeking for a Senior Compliance Manager at the Royal Academy of Engineering.

The role

As Senior Compliance Manager, you will support and drive excellence in key Academy systems and processes. Specifically, to ensure organisational compliance with GDPR and all internal policies and procedures, while enabling and supporting all staff to follow relevant policies and procedures. You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and support the COO to ensure that risk is managed robustly throughout the organisation.

You will be required to review, communicate and implement data related policies and organisational processes. You will maintain organisational policies; review, establish and implement policy related processes and procedures. You will establish and manage an internal audit function and also support the COO to ensure an appropriate risk management framework is in place.

A key aspect of success in the role is the ability to support colleagues and to influence and drive positive change across the organisation.

Who are we looking for?

An experienced and credible person to be the subject matter expert for the Academy on GDPR and data protection. It is expected that you will have experience in managing and supporting risk management at organisational level.

The ability to support colleagues, develop and maintain appropriate systems and processes and influence change across the organisation will be key to your success in the role. You will possess a desire for continuous improvement and excellence and be able to ensure that organisational needs are met by using a practical approach.

Location

Our light, spacious offices are based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline 2 days a week in the office.
