We are looking for candidates with five years plus experience in Compliance/KYC/AML Risk to work on a contract basis for six months to review and update the Private Banking divisions procedures and drive system, process improvement.
To identify any potential KYC AML risks in the Bank and report the findings to the Financial Crime Compliance Manager, where necessary.
To maintain knowledge of all applicable legislation and best industry practice, including relevant parts of the FCA Handbook and the JMLSG.
Conduct reviews of new prospects and existing clients, assessing the risk profile and KYC documentation, resolving any issues found by liaising with the Front Office, Line Management and Senior Management where necessary.
Management of BAU workflows, including the review of new client proposals, account opening, periodic reviews and changes to accounts, providing Quality Checking oversight.
To support the Head of Private Banking in the management of AML, CTF and KYC issues
To assist the business as and when required on KYC/AML related queries, by providing advice and guidance, outlining options and recommending solutions as appropriate.
To assist in the review and update of department procedures and drive system and process improvements.
To lead or assist with any other regulatory tasks or ad hoc projects as might reasonably be requested by the Head of Private Banking and the COO
To ensure that Management information (M.I) is kept up to date and compiled where necessary.
To drive consistency of approach and high quality results across all lines of business
To track, monitor and report on on-boarding and reviews metrics. Identify any material trends for ongoing quality and cycle time improvement
To provide coaching and feedback to client-facing teams, ensuring best practices are adopted across the group
To disseminate changes in regulatory or internal guidance related to KYC/AML
To implement any new or changes in CIP/ CDD/ EDD policy, procedures and standards
To liaise with the second line of defence / KYC team on all relevant matters
To apply you must have a significant amount of Financial Crime work experience
The ability to write clear, professional and Regulator Ready client risk reports is essential to the role.
You will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to research and investigate and assimilate data from various information sources and draw meaningful conclusions from the information obtained.
Sound knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to use them effectively to deliver professional documents and reports and conduct analysis.
KYC /CDD/Customer onboarding experience
Solid AML compliance experience, with a good understanding of AML laws, rules and regulations in the UK; some knowledge of the global AML regulatory environment would be a plus.
The ability to work unsupervised, and willingness to work to deadlines to get the job done when required.
Educated to degree level, Compliance qualifications desirable
