Supplier Auditor

My client is a globally recognised brand who stand at the top of their peer group.

Due to an internal move, Jefferson Tiley are assisting with the recruitment of an auditor to join their UK based, but global team.

Reporting into the Head of Department, the successful applicant will be responsible for building relationships with third party suppliers to the organisation and ensuring that all company procedures are being followed. Reporting on the activities will be a large part of this role as well as the ability to reach out to the suppliers and assist where things are not working as they should be.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Develop, own, and execute an auditing program that will ensure processes and deliverables of the third party suppliers continuously meet requirements as specified.

Functions as "voice of the supplier" in internal projects and discussions related to process, workflow, and practice change.

Engage continuously with the third party clients to evaluate supplier compliance to company requirements at all workflow stages and evaluate operational risks.

Based on audit results, identify opportunities to improve business processes at both the company and suppliers.

Report to senior management quarterly on auditing outcomes and previously identified areas of improvement.

Own and oversee supplier tool testing and implementation, including acceptance criteria, piloting processes, and stakeholder engagement.

Participate in or leads projects related to supplier tools and workflows as assigned.

This is a role that is largely reporting but the successful candidate must understand how the auditing process works and be able to follow methodology. Therefore it would suit someone from either an audit or compliance background with strong report writing skills.

When allowed, it is likely that this role will have 2 oversees trips a year to build relationships with the largest third party suppliers. Other than this, you are likely to be working from home and in the office once a fortnight.
