What will you be doing?

We're seeking a talented individual to join our Forensics team in London, which is responsible for providing Monitoring Trustee services where we act as Monitoring Trustee on behalf of competition regulators to monitor parties' compliance with structural or behavioural remedies.

As Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

Managing Monitoring Trustee assignments

  • Carrying out and managing more junior staff on the following:
  • Analysis of information received on the parties' compliance with merger/antitrust remedies
  • Attending meetings together with Head of the team and leading meetings when required (UK and abroad)
  • Report writing
  • Liaising with the parties and competition authorities and chasing information
  • Managing client engagements including client set up and control of lock up

Business Development

  • BD concentrated on:
  • Networking with competition lawyers and antitrust regulators (UK, Paris and Brussels)
  • Relationship management
  • Attending marketing events

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • ACA qualification or equivalent preferred or Competition Law or Competition Economics background
  • Relevant experience of working in Monitoring Trustee practice or with antitrust regulators
  • Relevant experience in merger and/or antitrust remedies (designing, implementing or monitoring)
  • A mixture of audit, transactions, M&A or corporate finance experience is also desirable
  • The analytical skills required for Monitoring Trustee assignments
  • Report writing and presentation skills
  • Assignment and client management skills
  • Fluency in a second language French or German is preferable
