We are searching for an experienced Senior Technical Training Manager (Audit)

Why is Audit training unique at RSM?

When developing training, you will be involved from the inception and scoping, innovation in the design and ultimately, delivery of the finished product. You will have full responsibility for training projects. This is supported throughout including technical reviews, a separate team of eLearning developers and peer reviews within the training team.  

The Audit Training team work closely with various stakeholders in audit – quality, technical and, importantly, the client facing audit teams to develop and deliver a programme of training that both responds to the regulatory rigours of the profession and complements the professional development of every member of the audit team. 

The use of innovative training design across a range of delivery formats is a primary focus of our training strategy. You will liaise with Senior Training Managers from other service lines to help deliver this objective.  

The role of Senior Training Manager in Technical Training provides the opportunity to influence the audit training strategy for RSM’s rapidly expanding audit team as we respond to existing and future developments in the profession. 

Responsibilities 

  • As Senior Manager, you will work closing with the audit Training Lead in the development and rollout of the audit training strategy. A particular focus of the role will be setting up and delivering a sector-specific training programme to help ensure our sector specialists receive targeted training. In addition, you will have oversight of the continued integration of developments in data analytics within audit training.  
  • The role will involve working closely with senior Partners in the audit business and you will have the opportunity to contribute to, and influence decisions around audit training.  
  • You will have line manager responsibilities in relation to other members of the training team to help support their development.

About the ideal candidate

  • Above all, we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the audit profession and excited about the opportunity to influence the development of audit at RSM through the implementation of our training strategy.
  • Your understanding of the RSM audit business coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the profession will be complemented by excellent project management and teamwork skills to help deliver this strategy.
  • The ability to combine robust technical knowledge with creativity in the design and delivery of training programmes is an important attribute for the role. 

The role requires:

  • You will have experience working in external audit and be ACA, ICAS, or equivalent qualified. 
  • You will have previous experience in the design and delivery of audit training programmes. 
  • The role is home based with an option to work flexibly from your local office. Delivery of training and meetings are both online and face to face. Therefore, there is a requirement to be able to travel anywhere nationally. Substantial advance notice of all travel requirements is generally given.
